SEC Newgate at ReThink

SEC Newgate Greater China Partner Mary Devereux had the honour to deliver the opening remarks for PRHK yesterday and be MC as PRHK, the Hong Kong PR association, hosted important panels at Hong Kong's premier ESG conference, ReThink HK.

The first panel talked about communications and marketing activating purpose and real impact, with Kiri Sinclair, CEO of Sinclair; Chloe Kwok, Managing Director at BSH Home Appliances; Lynne Mulholland, General Manager, Group Corporate Affairs, The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels Limited; Benny Siu, Head of Safety, Sustainability and Quality Assurance at HACTL; and Victoria Wisniewski Otero (She/Her), Founder & CEO of Resolve Foundation.

This was followed by a panel with Carol Yeung of MD of Golin, Piyush Srivastava, Managing Director, Pernod Ricard Hong Kong & Macau; Pat-Nie Woo, Partner at KPMG; and Yvonne Liu, PR Director at JLL, who talked about the importance of communication ESG in internal stakeholders.

The final panel featured South China Morning Post SCMP reporter Martin Choi, CESGA® with Sonalie Figueiras, Founder & EIC - Impact Media Green Queen; Luca Fong, Managing Director at Accenture; and Ivan Zeng (Ivan SB Z.) General Manager, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau at The LEGO Group, talking about the challenges of greenwashing vs greenhushing.
